Variants

The SpikeWatcher™ PA family of Performance Analyzers helps you maximize the efficiency and lifetime of your equipment.  Really the only difference among the variants is the screen layout and the data labelling. Four of the variants are specifically designed to evaluate how well a specific set of equipment is working:
  • Pressure reduction valve (water and wastewater)
  • Pipe main (water and wastewater)
  • Lift station (water and wastewater)
  • Hydraulic pump machine room (elevator)
The final variant is a generic screen for analyzing any set of analog sensors and digital inputs.

Pressure Reduction Valve

The SpikeWatcher PA samples, records and analyzes the in and out pressures, flow, and valve position.  Sudden changes in value (spikes) are detected in the user-specified sensor, and the minimum, maximum, and average values, as well as duration, are recorded.

Pipe Main

The SpikeWatcher PA samples, records and analyzes the pressure, flow, and valve position.  Sudden changes in value (spikes) are detected in the user-specified sensor, and the minimum, maximum, and average values, as well as duration, are recorded.

Lift Station

The SpikeWatcher PA samples, records and analyzes the wet well level, flow, number of pumps running, and total current.  Sudden changes in value (spikes) are detected in the user-specified sensor, and the minimum, maximum, and average values, as well as duration, are recorded.

Hydraulic Pump Machine Room

The SpikeWatcher PA samples, records and analyzes the motor current, oil temperature, and elevator control temperature.  Sudden changes in motor current indicate the various stages of elevator motion, from stopped, to accelerating, travel, decelerating, and levelling. The magnitude and duration of these stages are recorded. Also, the control and oil temperatures are periodically recorded.
